42 Adelaide Origins

42 Adelaide was founded by Louise Nobes, CEO of KIK Innovation Ltd. KIK Innovation’s philosophy is that all young people can be great and great minds are everywhere! Since 2016, KIK Innovation had used an entrepreneurial and innovative mindset to create employment pathways for many. The natural alignment of KIK and 42’s philosophy is a dynamic one.

 

“When I first learned of 42, I believed it represented what KIK Innovation strives to achieve but at a global scale. 42 is ‘altruism’ brought into reality. Starting my career as a social worker and then as I moved into education, entrepreneurship, and business, I was still searching for solutions that removed some of the greatest barriers to education for young people (and all). 42 is a great solution to unlocking the potential in anyone.”

Launch

42 Adelaide first opened its doors on the 21st of June 2021. As part of our reconciliation plan, we held an incredibly special smoking ceremony conducted by Kaurna elder, Mickey O’Brien. We were then joined with our amazing Founding Partners at our campus for our launch party.

With the South Australian Minister of Education, David Pisoni, formally opening 42, over 130 people gathered to help us launch 42 formally to Adelaide.

 

Since then, we have had more than 400+ students complete a piscine, and 240+ have received a place in the school.

With a capacity for 450 full-time students at 42 Adelaide, we are focusing on creating impact for young people through our innovative learning model.

BEST TECH SCHOOL FOR WOMEN

50/50 female by 2025.

We believe we can achieve this earlier. 42 Adelaide has initiatives that will help us achieve this like the Girls Coding Community and All Female piscine.
